Limited Edition. Bourbon barrel aged. 1924 - the heart of the prohibition era and wine's darkest hour. Double black. United States finest quality. 1924 - The heart of Prohibition and the year our winery first planned vineyards in California. During an era of gangsters and speakeasies, Americans would not be denied their favorite beverages. Daring drinkers sipped wine on the sly and found a loophole allowing doctors to prescribe Bourbon. In honor of that bold time, two once-forbidden favorites come together to inspire our 1924 Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon. Crafted with full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon aged in Bourbon Barrels, this liberal wine is layered with suggestions of blackberry, fig and warm spice with notes reminiscent of Bourbon: carmel, brown sugar and toasted oak. 2017 Bourbon barrel aged cabernet sauvignon. www.1924wines.com. (at)1924. Alc. 15.0% by vol. Vinted and bottled by Gnarly Head Wines, Manteca, California.
